This is a collection of essays from the seminar hosted by the Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies (CISS) on "Investing in Cuba: Problems and Prospects," with The Research Institute for Cuba (RIC). These papers identifying problems and risks associated with foreign investment in Cuba. Appendices reproduce the foreign investment law of 1982 (since replaced by a new foreign investment law passed in 1995) and accompanying regulations. The collection of edited papers in this volume were originally presented at the seminar, and their authors were chosen to represent a wide range of views.
