Full Description
Economic Activities during the Occupation of Karabakh: A Case Study (1992-2020) of Decades of Property Exploitation in an Occupied Economy offers a timely and strategic contribution to the legal assurance of free trade, the regulation and protection of intellectual property, and the prevention of illicit import-export operations in post-conflict and formerly occupied territories. By analyzing the mechanisms of economic governance in Karabakh and its adjacent regions, the study proposes concrete legal, administrative, and institutional measures that are essential for restoring state authority and trade integrity in liberated areas. The book further emphasizes the necessity of promoting legitimate entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth in the liberated territories. By creating alternative income opportunities, the government can reduce economic incentives that sustain illegal networks. The empirical findings presented here are intended to serve as a basis for informed policy design, legal reform, and scholarly reflection on the broader dynamics of conflict economies.
