Dieses Projekt ist das Ergebnis umfangreicher Forschung und gründlicher Ausarbeitung, das darauf abzielt, Berufsmusikern, Studenten, Lehrern und allen generell Interessierten repräsentatives Material zu den verschiedensten Stilen brasilianischer Musik zur Verfügung zu stellen. Der Schwerpunkt der Souza Lima-Playalong-Reihe liegt auf der heute in Brasilien gespielten Instrumentalmusik, die auf Elementen der modernen Improvisation beruht. Jeder Band enthält zwei CDs mit sieben Musikstücken, die in 5 verschiedenen Versionen präsentiert werden. Die Reihe wurde nicht ausschließlich dafür konzipiert, dass Musiker lernen und üben sollen, wie man Noten liest und Aufnahmen begleitet. Versuchen Sie, kreativ zu sein, und erforschen Sie jede Musikart auf jede nur erdenkliche Weise.
