Aus Rachmaninows Zyklus der 24 Préludes erfreuen sich drei Stücke ganz besonderer Beliebtheit, die nun sämtlich als Einzelausgaben bei uns erhältlich sind: Nachdem wir mit den Préludes cis-moll (HN 1211) und g-moll (HN 1212) bereits zwei "Schlachtrösser" vorgelegt haben, schlägt das hier vorgestellte gis-moll-Prélude leisere, melancholische Töne an. Für unsere Neuausgaben der Préludes wurden die autographen Quellen im Moskauer Glinka-Archiv gesichtet, sodass sich alle unsere Rachmaninow-Einzelausgaben in exzellenter Qualität präsentieren. Der Fingersatz stammt von Marc-André Hamelin, einem der herausragenden Pianisten unserer Zeit und zugleich einem Experten für russische spätromantische Klaviermusik.

Amongst the pieces in Rachmaninoff's 24 Préludes there are three that are particularly popular. These are now all available as single editions: Having already published two "warhorses", the Préludes in c sharp minor (HN 1211) and g minor (HN 1212), the one we are now issuing, the Prélude in g sharp minor, strikes a quieter and more melancholy note. For our new editions of the Préludes we were able to consult the autograph sources in the Glinka Archive in Moscow, enabling us to present these single editions in superb quality. The fingerings are by Marc-André Hamelin, one of the most outstanding pianists of our time and also an expert on late romantic Russian piano music.

Trois pièces extraites du cycle des 24 Préludes de Rachmaninov sont tout particulièrement populaires; toutes trois sont désormais disponibles chez Henle en édition séparée: après avoir publié les Préludes en ut dièse mineur (HN 1211) et sol mineur (HN 1212), deux «chevaux de bataille», nous proposons ici le Prélude en sol dièse mineur, aux sonorités plus mélancoliques et plus douces. Les sources autographes conservées aux archives Glinka de Moscou ont pu être consultées pour nos nouvelles éditions des Préludes, de sorte que toutes les éditions séparées de Rachmaninov sont de remarquable qualité. Les doigtés viennent de Marc-André Hamelin, un des plus brillants pianistes de notre époque, mais également spécialiste de la musique russe post-romantique.
