Wer sich mit dem Schaffen des polnischen Tasten-Genies auseinandersetzt, findet auch in seinem Frühwerk eine Fülle neuer Anregungen. Die vier Rondos fehlten bisher in unserem Katalog; nun liegen sie endlich im Henle-Urtext vor . Zu Unrecht im Repertoire vernachlässigt, lassen sich hier echte Entdeckungen machen. Kaum vorstellbar, dass Chopin erst 15 Jahre zählte, als sein Opus 1, das Rondo c-moll, im Druck erschien. Auch das Rondo op. 5, das die klangliche Exotik polnischer Volksmusik verarbeitet, und das brillante Werk in C-dur op. 73 stammen aus seiner Warschauer Zeit. Zweifellos hatte der jugendliche Komponist, Liebling der Warschauer Salons, sich diese Stücke selbst als "Paradestücke" auf den Leib geschrieben. Hier wie auch beim Rondo op. 16 ist seine persönliche Handschrift unverkennbar. Unsere Urtextausgabe ist zusätzlich als preisgünstige Studien-Edition erhältlich._

Chopin's early works include a wealth of new stimuli for anyone wishing to take a closer look at the creative works of the Polish genius. Up to now the four Rondos have been missing from our catalogue; but now they are finally available in Henle Urtext.
Although they have been unfairly neglected, there are real discoveries to be made. It is hard to imagine that Chopin was only 15 when his Opus 1, the Rondo in c minor, was first published. Likewise, his Rondo op. 5, which incorporates the exotic sounds of Polish folk music, and the brilliant work in C major op. 73 were also written during his time in Warsaw. Without a doubt the young composer, who was the darling of the Warsaw salons, wrote these works as showpieces for himself. Here, and also with the Rondo op. 16, his mark is unmistakable.
