Description
(Short description)
(Text)
The two etude cycles, each with 12 pieces, supplemented by three etudes without opus number, by Frédéric Chopin are more than just demanding practice pieces. Rather, they are diverse masterpieces that radiate drama and lyricism. Whether fast or slow, rhythmic or melodic, the etudes are composed in great detail and reflect the piano master's late work in harmony and brilliance. The first cycle, op. 10, was dedicated to Chopin's friend Franz Liszt, the second, op. 25, to Countess Marie d'Agoult.
