The piece tries to adopt the idea of a warm flute tone full of harmony, and at the same time be easy to play and catchy. Nothing seemed to be suited better than the light that radiated by celestial bodies and has been celebrated in song so often: deriving pleasure from the bright light and sultry warmth of the sun; sentimental thoughts under the pale light of the moon; and the joy one feels when looking at sparkling stars.
