Full Description
This book systemically introduces physical properties and clinical applications of total-body PET/CT. Firstly, based on the results of a comparative study between total-body PET/CT and conventional digital PET/CT, the feasibility and diagnostic efficacy of rapid scanning are overviewed. Following chapters present the unique value of total-body PET/CT dynamic acquisition in pharmacokinetic research and its potential advantages, feasibility and optimized imaging of half-dose and one-tenth-dose total-body PET/CT scans. In addition, new technologies that are still being explored and perfected, such as gating technology and ultra-low dose CT are also included. It will be a useful reference for nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists who are interested in total body PET/CT.
