In the novel the memorable events of 2017 for Catalonia are highlighted, connected, firstly, with the terrorist attack in Barcelona, and secondly, with the referendum for independence, and depicts the traumatic impact of these events on the psyche of people, life which are presented in all the variety of their inherent feelings, virtues and vices.
