Full Description
The most famous work by Ivan Franko on the historical theme of the struggle of ancient Carpathian communities against the Mongol invasion and social oppression. The story was written for the competition announced by the magazine "Zorya" and first published in 1883 in the same magazine. A film of the same name was made on the basis of the story.
