Full Description
When her father died, nine-year-old Nippe moved with her mother to live in a garden house. They grow cucumbers there. Nippe keeps her father's promise and plays the flute every day, hiding in the greenhouse so that the neighborhood children won't make fun of her. After a while, mom meets Oskaras. But Nippe doesn't like him - Nippe loves her dad.
