Full Description

The Green Chemistry Network Centre (GCNC) has been established in Delhi University under the recommendation of a panel of world leaders headed by Professor Paul Anastas (the father of "Green Chemistry"). The centre has the following aims:

To build a network for the exchange of expertise, discussion and knowledge between industrialists and academics and chemists and engineers with interests and expertise relevant to "Green Chemistry".
Prepare and disseminate educational materials on "Green Chemistry" for schools, colleges and universities.
Design training.
Translate existing "Green Chemistry" materials for broader distribution.

The GCNC received the prestigious ChemRAWN XIV-GCI Developing and Emerging Nations Grant Award for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 from the American Chemical Society's Green Chemistry Institute.
