Insect and non-insect pests are known to cause extensive damage to crops in the field and to grains and stored products in warehouses and godowns. These pests must be controlled to prevent further harm. This book provides a detailed account of major insect and non-insect pests of economically important field and horticultural crops, as well as possible measures for their control. It also includes information about household pests that damage human possessions, as well as insect and non-insect pests that cause or transmit diseases in plants, livestock, and humans. The book also provides a list of minor pests for each crop, which may become major pests under certain conditions.
