This volume devoted to the Proceedings of the IXth International Congress of Egyptologists held in Grenoble, 6th-12th September 2004, has gathered two hundred papers sent by their authors to the editors aiming to be published. These papers are representative of the meetings of the fourteen working sessions and cover the whole field of the present egyptological researches, from the Origins to the Graeco-roman period. The main results obtained since the previous congress in Cairo in the year 2000 are given here as well as a specific account pertaining to the important results for the knowledge on Ancient Egypt acquired through application of new methods and technological means.

Ce volume d'Actes du IXe Congrès International des Égyptologues, tenu à Grenoble des 6 au 12 septembre 2004 rassemble les deux cents textes de communications remises par leurs auteurs aux responsables de l'édition en vue de leur publication. Représentatifs des travaux des quatorze sections de travail alors réunies, le contenu de ces articles couvre l'ensemble des domaines de la discipline égyptologique actuelle, des origines aux temps gréco-romains. Les résultats essentiels acquis depuis le congrès du Caire de l'an 2000 ainsi que l'état actuel des recherches en cours y sont exposés, accompagnés d'un bilan spécifique relatif aux progrès fructueux de l'application des méthodes et techniques nouvelles à la connaissance de l'antique Égypte.
