Thinking with Castoriadis explores the work of the Greek-French philosopher Cornelius Castoriadis who developed a ground-breaking philosophy of imagination and social creation—a theory of how societies come into being. The volume explores the many-sided implications of Castoriadis' social thought and the way it intersects with and diverges from other major currents of social theory and philosophy: civilizational, urbanist, Hellenist, meta-historical, hermeneutical, phenomenological, ontological, antinomical, and Kantian.
