This book is divided into two parts. Part I includes six types of movements - peasant, backward classes, sectarian, tribal and women's. There are four papers on religious and sectarian movements among the Hindus and Muslims. One paper points out parallels between the backward classes here and Black movements in the U.S.A. in their fight against discriminations.
