Full Description
Good management practices (GMP) for agricultural processes aim to ensure environmental, social, and economic sustainability, resulting in the production of safe and high-quality food and non-food agricultural products. In recent years, GMP has expanded to address concerns from various stakeholders about food security, safety, quality, and environmental sustainability in agriculture. Given the diverse challenges and constraints, such as population growth, increasing food, feed, and fodder needs, natural resource depletion, climate change, new pests, slow growth in farm income, and new global trade regulations, a paradigm shift is required in formulating and implementing agricultural research programs. The book Good management practices for fruit and vegetable crops provides an overview of the current state of GMP in horticulture and aims to disseminate proven technologies that can help address these challenges. It will focus on key issues and technologies related to GMP in fruit and vegetable crops.
