Most people would say that politics is a field guided by rational thought, butthat is only partly true. Rational thinking certainly plays an important role, yetpolitical decisions both influence and are influenced by many aspects of ourlives. Therefore, emotions can never be completely excluded from politics.This book explores the complex relationship between emotions and rationalreasoning in politics - from social media posts to political discussions. It shows how emotions can be used to manipulate decisions, but also how they canenrich and strengthen them. To avoid the negative side of emotional influence,we must understand our own emotions and learn how to use them meaningfullyin political contexts.Drawing on studies, theories, and real-world examples, it uncovers howemotions shape today's political landscape and offers practicalideas and approaches to help recognize hidden emotions and apply themconsciously for better political outcomes. Only by gaining a deeperunderstanding of our emotions and needs can we navigate the political worldwith clarity and a mindset that ultimately improves our quality of life.
