World history is a mosaic of all the small, personal stories transpiring all around us. Inspired by a museum visit in Washington, D.C., Lorenz Glatz began to wonder about the missing pieces of the historical mosaic of his own home town south of Vienna.Who were the neighbors that - before Lorenz himself was born - suddenly simply disappeared? How did they disappear? And where did they go?This book details how Lorenz went about answering these questions.

Lorenz Glatz was born in 1948. He studied the classics and taught Latin and Greek at highschool. His retirement as a teacher in 2003 allowed him to engage himself more in his other spheres of activity: he is a member of the editorial staff of the journal "Streifzüge. Magazinierte Transformationslust" (Explorations.
