Description
(Short description)
The Turin Shroud is it a fraud, a mystery, the witness of a miracle? Extreme opinions are facing each other irreconcilably.
The author explains why none of these possibilities may be true, because there is an almost unbelievable event recorded on the cloth: The survival of a crucifixion. This irritating assumption is amazingly confirmed by forensic experts. At the same time, evidence clearly indicates that the Turin Shroud is the authentic burial cloth of Jesus, which has already been mentioned in the New Testament. This part of the book is richly illustrated (partly in colour) and explained in an easy to follow way.
What at first looks like a scandal is seen by the author as a unique opportunity. Because what appears behind the religious overpaintings of the centuries has real substance and points to a Jesus, who is still fascinating and groundbreaking. The book therefore reaches far beyond the scope of common shroud-literature: A radical book for spiritual pioneers.
