Kluth, Michael
Michael Kluth, geb. 1939 in Zeitz, ist Filmautor und Filmproduzent. Er studierte Slawistik, Philosophie, Kunstgeschichte und Theaterwissenschaften in Hamburg und Wien. Seit den 1990er Jahren begleitet er mit der Kamera den Künstler Günther Uecker sowohl in seinem Düsseldorfer Atelier wie auch auf seinen Reisen ins Ausland. Dabei entstanden mehrere Dokumentationen für die ARD, das ZDF und ARTE. Zuletzt entstanden verschiedene Filmprojekte mit Günther Uecker, u._a. »Huldigung an Hafez«.

Uecker, Günther
Günther Uecker, geb. 1930, ist einer der bekanntesten deutschen Maler und Objektkünstler. Er studierte Malerei in Wismar und an der Kunstakademie in Berlin-Weißensee. 1953 siedelte er nach West-Berlin über und setzte 1955 sein Studium an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf fort. 1956/1957 entstanden erstmals die für ihn typischen reliefartigen Nagelbilder. Seit den 1980er Jahren nimmt er in seinen Werken zu politischen Fragen Stellung: So reagierte er etwa auf die Katastrophe von Tschernobyl mit dem Zyklus »Aschebilder«.
