Dieses Buch verbindet erstmals zwei Entwicklungen, die auf den ersten Blick kaum Berührungs- punkte haben: die Architekturgeschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts und die Vorgeschichte der Künstlichen Intelligenz (KI). Beide eint jedoch die Suche nach neuen Wegen, Probleme zu formalisieren, gestalterische Prozesse zu automatisieren und die komplexe Welt der Datengesellschaft zu gestalten. Architektur und KI arbeiten daran, die kulturellen und sozialen Räume unserer Zeit zu "öffnen" und neu zu begreifen. This book brings together, for the first time, two developments that, at first glance, seem to have little in common: the history of architecture in the twentieth century and the prehistory of artificial intelligence (AI). Both are united by a search for new ways to formalize problems, automate design processes, and shape the complex world of the data society. Architecture and AI are working to "open up" and reconceive the cultural and social spaces of our time.
