Im Mittelpunkt von "The Nest" steht eine Reihe von Postern, die Scott Massey, Absolvent des "California Institute of the Arts", anlässlich der Ausstellung "Inside Out & Upside Down: Posters from CalArts 1970-2019" entworfen hat. "The Nest" dokumentiert, wie Scott Massey durch Collage, Schichtung und Nachbearbeitung 200 einzigartige und lebendige Kompositionen geschaffen hat, die jeweils eine eigene Geschichte über kreative Entdeckungen erzählen. Unter Verwendung von Elementen, die die Entwicklung und Bandbreite des traditionsreichen CalArts-Posterarchivs repräsentieren, ist dieses Buchprojekt eine Erkundung ästhetischer Strategien, die durch die Verschmelzung digitaler und analoger Prozesse zum Leben erweckt werden.Ein visueller und schriftlicher Dialog über künstlerische Prozesse und die oft verschlungenen Wurzeln unserer Kreativität.

"The Nest" centers on a series of posters created by Scott Massey, a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, on the occasion of the exhibition "Inside Out & Upside Down: Posters from CalArts 1970-2019." "The Nest" documents how Scott Massey used appropriation, collage, layering, and post-processing to create 200 unique and vibrant compositions, each telling its own story of creative discovery. Using elements that represent the evolution and breadth of CalArts' tradition-rich poster archive, this book project is an exploration of aesthetic strategies brought to life through the fusion of digital and analog processes.A visual and written conversation about artistic processes and the often tangled roots of our creativity.
