Full Description

VARIOUS & GOULD are two artists who have been an integral part of the Urban Art scene in Berlin for the last fifteen years. This book pays homage to their work, which in a playful and unconventional way tackles major social issues, such a diversity, migration and work that has appealed to very wide audience.

Published to accompany the exhibition that celebrates the fifteenth anniversary of their work in the Berlin Uber Spree Gallery, this long overdue monograph presents the full range of their work, enriched by essays by several selected authors.

Their work ranges from multi-coloured patchwork identities composed of collaged faces, via half-tone murals painted dot by dot, or vivid paper castings of monuments, through to smashed smartphones used as intaglio plates. Although the duo finds ever new and specific forms of expression in each of their series of works, their love of paper remains a constant medium.
