Wer die klangliche Vielfalt der Nyckelharpa zum Leben erwecken möchte, muss die Kunst der Bogenführung beherrschen. Hierzu zählt unter anderem eine sinnvolle Abfolge von Ab- und Aufstrich. Das Musizieren auf der Grundlage der sogenannten "Strichregeln" bezieht sowohl Körper und Schwerkraft mit ein und berücksichtigt auch die konstruktiven Eigenarten des Bogens.Im ersten Teil dieses Buches werden die Grundprinzipen einer sinnvollen und musikalischen Strichverteilung erläutert sowie eine Vielzahl gängiger Strich-Patterns vorgestellt. Auch ein berühmter Geigenlehrer der Vergangenheit kommt zu Wort: Leopold Mozart. Die Regeln aus seiner "Gründlichen Violinschule" sind über 260 Jahre alt - aber auch heute noch eine wertvolle Inspiration. Ergänzt wird der theoretische Teil durch eine umfangreiche Stückesammlung, in der die Anwendungder Strichregeln in der Praxis gezeigt wird - mit einer Vielzahl von Stücken aus verschiedenen Epochen und verschiedenen Bereichen internationaler Folklore.

Whoever wants to bring the Nyckelharpa's rich sound to life should master the art of bowing. This includes, among other things, an appropriate use of up- und downbows. Making music on the basis of the bowing rules includes both body and gravity and also takes into account the constructive characteristics of the bow. In the first part of this book some basic principles of a meaningful and musical distribution of up- und downbows are explained and a multitude of bowing patterns are introduced. A famous violin teacher from the past also has his say: Leopold Mozart. The rules from his "Gründliche Violinschule" are over 260 years old - but still a valuable inspiration today. The theoretical part is supplemented by an extensive collection of pieces in which the application of the bowing rules isshown in practice - with a multitude of pieces from different epochs and different areas of international folk music.
