Die einzigartige Vereinigung von großartigen Barockbauten und weltberühmten Kunstsammlungen, eingebettet in die Landschaft des sanften Elbtals, fasziniert Jahr für Jahr Millionen Touristen aus aller Herren Länder. Am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs aufs schwerste zerstört, ist "Dresden, die Wunderbare" in den letzten Jahren geradezu wiederauferstanden. Der Wiederaufbau der Frauenkirche hat Menschen in der ganzen Welt bewegt. Der Stadtrundgang führt zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten im Zentrum der Stadt. Dresden, for many centuries capital city of the electors and kings of Saxony, and today capital of the Free State of Saxony, has earned its byname of "Florence on the Elbe" for a myriad of good reasons. Year by year, millions of tourists from all corners of the world are enchanted by the unique combination of outstanding Baroque buildings and world-famous art collections, embedded in the gentle landscape of the River Elbe valley. Devastated at the end of the Second World War, the wonderful city of Dresden has been virtually reborn in the last decades. The city tour brings the visitor to the most important points of interest in the centre of the town. On foot and in one day - not forgetting the occasional welcome break to enjoy Dresden's hospitality - the 800-year-old history of the town can be experienced in an entertaining and informative way.
