A tell is one of those many hills where people settled thousands of years ago and where, for generations, in layers so to say, villages and towns were built. With the help of state-of-the-art technology Katia and Aaron get impressions of the everyday lives
of our forbears in the biblical land.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. Dieter Vieweger, geb. 1958, Studium der Ev. Theologie in Leipzig; 1989-91 Professor für alttestamentliche Wissenschaft an der Kirchlichen Hochschule Berlin, 1991-93 an der Humboldt-Universität Berlin; seit 1993 Professor für alttestamentliche Wissenschaft und biblische Archäologie an der Kirchlichen Hochschule Wuppertal; 1993-98 Studium der Ur- und Frühgeschichte in Frankfurt a.M.; seit 1999 Direktor des Biblisch-Archäologischen Instituts Wuppertal; ab 1999 Lehrtätigkeit an der Privatuniversität Witten-Herdecke, seit 2002 dort Inhaber der Forschungsprofessur Archäologie und Ältere Geschichte ; seit 2005 Leitender Direktor des Deutschen Evangelischen Instituts für Altertumswissenschaft des Heiligen Landes in Jerusalem und Amman, zugleich Forschungsstelle des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts (DAI); seit 2005 Vertreter des Propstes in Jerusalem und Koordinator der evangelischen Bildungsarbeit in der Heiligen Stadt; seit 2006 Senior Fellow des Albright Institutes, Jerusalem; seit 2009 ordentliches Mitglied des DAI; nach Projekten in Zypern, Griechenland und Italien Leiter verschiedener archäologischer Forschungsprojekte in Jordanien, Israel und Palästina.
