Das Deutsche Literatur-Lexikon. Das 20. Jahrhundert ist die Fortführung und Ergänzung des Deutschen Literatur-Lexikons. Autor/-innen des deutschsprachigen Raumes sind verzeichnet, sofern ihr maßgebliches Wirken im 20. Jahrhundert liegt. Die Artikel enthalten Namen, Lebensdaten und eine Kurzbiographie. Im bibliographischen Teil werden Schriften, Übersetzungen, Herausgebertätigkeit, Briefe, Nachlass, etc. wie auch die Sekundärliteratur verzeichnet.

Das Deutsche Literatur-Lexikon. Das 20. Jahrhundert verzeichnet Autorinnen und Autoren, die in deutscher Sprache schreiben und deren maßgebliches Wirken im 20. Jahrhundert liegt. Band 12 enthält u.a. Artikel über Gustav Arthur Gräser, Oskar Maria Graf, Günter Grass, Fritz Gross, Mimi Grossberg, George Grosz. Hervorzuheben sind Artikel über die Publizisten Adolf Grimme und Alfred Grosser. Gemäß der Ausrichtung des Lexikons sind zahlreiche bekannte Vertreter ihres jeweiligen Fachgebietes verzeichnet, z.B. derPsychiater Otto Gross und der MedizinerGeorg Walter Groddeck.

The Deutsches Literatur-Lexikon. Das 20. Jahrhundert [Dictionary of German Literature. The 20th Century] continues, supplements, and extends the Deutsches Literatur-Lexikon. It lists writers from German-speaking countries and authors from elsewhere in Europe who write in German, provided that the main body of their work was produced in the 20th century. The articles contain the full names, dates of birth and death, and a brief biography of the authors. There is also a bibliography section containing details of works, translations, editorships, editions, letters, unpublished works, anthologies, bibliographies, research reports, general descriptions, critiques, and secondary literature relating to specific works.
