The Author: Michael SchmidBorn in 1961, Michael Schmid graduated in Business Studies and spent some time working as a journalist for magazines and daily newspapers before joining the marketing department of an international company. From there, he moved into advertising, where he worked for several years as a copywriter and concept creator. While working as a copywriter, Schmid began writing books for young adults, seven in total, all currently out of print. Michael Schmid teaches Marketing at SAE, an international educational institution for film, sound technology, games development and web design. He is also a photographer, whose work is regularly exhibited.Michael Schmid has a close connection to Gustav Klimt. For years, he has been the curator of exhibitions focusing on Gustav Klimt and the Wiener Werkstätte on behalf of the crafts cooperative Österreichische Werkstätten, founded by Josef Hoffmann and Oswald Haerdtl.
