Description
(Review)
"As the title suggests, this book contains the proeeedings of a conferenee on the Indo-European verb, broadly defined, i.e. it contains both synchronie and diachronie work pertaining to the verb in individual Indo-European languages and Proto-lndo-European. Overall, the quali1y is very high, and the volume covers a wide range of theoretical approaches and Indo-European languages. Particularly live1y areas of research include thc Tocharian and Anatolian verbal systems, questions of ablaut (especially o-grade, lengthenced grade), and the syntax and semantics of the verb in old Indo-European languages. The book is weil produced, and the few typographical mistakes are not worth listing here."
