Dies ist einer von Richie Beirachs Lieblingssongs. Die Originaltrioaufnahme ist auf "Hubris" (ECM) und dann noch einmal auf "Tribute to Chet Baker" erschienen. Chet Baker selbst hat es viele Male eingespielt. Wir haben den Komponisten und Bearbeiter Jim McNeely gebeten, etwas Besonderes für Gesangssolo zu schreiben, aber das Stück klingt auch für Flügelhorn oder Tenor super. McNeely sorgt für ungewöhnliche Klangfarben und fantastische Klänge - und das nur mit der Standard-Bigband-Besetzung. Meisterhaft! Wenn Sie also auf der Suche nach einer Bearbeitung mit modernen und doch warmen Klangfarben sind, dann brauchen Sie nicht weiterzusuchen. Hier sind Sie genau richtig! 1. This is one of Richie's favorite songs. The original trio recording is on "Hubris" (ECM) and then again on "Tribute to Chet Baker". Chet recorded it numerous times. We have asked composer/arranger Jim McNeely to create a feature for solo vocal but the chart also sounds great as a flügelhorn or tenor feature. Jim creates unusual colors and amazing sounds by using just the standard big band instrumentation. Masterful!
