Structured in three sections, this book contains ten recent research studies developed by university teachers and researchers, with important experience in this emerging social media technology. The first section is a state-of-the-art review of microblogging, analysing the architectures and educational uses of a number of centralised and decentralised platforms. Twitter, the most known microblogging platform, is the topic of the second part, while other platforms, such as Twiducate and Cirip.eu, are presented in the last section.
