Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2000 im Fachbereich AdA EDV / DV / IT / Telekommunikation, Note: 1, Fachhochschule Salzburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: After a comprehensive introduction to the subject, in the first main part of this diploma dissertation theoretical background information is discussed. The second part deals with the fundamental realization of a IT- emergency concept with the help of Rogsi/DMS a software tool to construct a disaster management system. The third and major part discusses the practical implementation of such a system at the computer center and network environment of a middle sized company. Especially the procedure and the way the things were handled are concerned. The key part of the paper also deals with the construction and usage of an emergency database. The emergency data is serviced online and an emergency handbook can be automatically generated. But that is not the end of the story, the next point refer to economic and legal issues. The final part is a summary thatcontains an outlook to possible further developments in near future.
