Based on an academic cooperation signed in 2010 between the University of Leipzig, the
University of Brawijaya (Malang) and the Jakarta State University, an international and
interdisciplinary Joint Summer Programme was established in 2011 under the framework United in Diversity? Framing Diversity in Indonesia and Germany .
This book is the third annual edition to document this exchange by presenting the topics and
the elaborated results of the third joint seminar in July 2013. It contains articles and essays
submitted by the lecturers based on their presentations, as well as some examples of student
papers. This third Joint Summer Programme was devoted to explore topics related to Freedom, Property and Property Rights . It provides an insight into German and Indonesian
concepts and views on the trio: freedom, property and property rights. Topics such as: History
of Intellectual Property in the European Context, Property as a Constitutional Legal Concept
in Germany, Copyright Lawin Europe, The State s Property Right to Land, Property Right on
Marine Resources, Water Privatization, Rights of Indigenous People to Land, Intellectual
Property Rights on Folklore are discussed in this book.

Christoph Enders, geboren 1957, studierte Rechtswissenschaft und Philosophie an der Universität Freiburg i. Br. und arbeitete an den Lehrstühlen von Ernst-Wolfgang Böckenförde und Dietrich Murswiek. Er wurde 1995 promoviert und habilitierte sich im darauffolgenden Jahr mit einer Untersuchung zur "Menschenwürde in der Verfassungsordnung" (Mohr Siebeck, 1997). Seit 1998 ist er Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Öffentliches Recht, insbesondere Umweltrecht an der Universität Leipzig, 2011 erfolgte eine Neu-Denomination des Lehrstuhls in "Lehrstuhl für Öffentliches Recht, Staats- und Verfassungslehre". Afifah Kusumadara ist Dozentin und unterrichtet derzeit in Bachelor-, Master- und Promotionsstudiengängen an der Fakultät für Rechtswissenschaft der Universität Brawijaya in Indonesien. Sie erhielt ihren Master of Laws (LL.M.) im Jahr 1993 an der American University in den USA und den Doktor für Rechtswissenschaft (SJD) im Jahr 2002 an der University of Sydney in Australien. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen die Bereiche indonesisches internationales Privatrechts, Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz, vergleichendes Privatrecht und internationales Wirtschaftsrecht. Sie hat zahlreiche wissenschaftliche Publikationen erstellt, die national als auch international veröffentlicht und präsentiert wurden. Anna Mrozek studierte Rechtswissenschaften in Berlin und Dublin und absolvierte das Referendariat in Berlin und Neuseeland. Seit 2007 ist sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Öffentliches Recht, Staats- und Verfassungslehre (Prof. Dr. Christoph Enders) an der Universität Leipzig und seit 2013 auch Dozentin am Europa-Kolleg Hamburg. 2012 promovierte sie zum Thema "Grenzschutz als nationale und supranationale Aufgabe" (Baden-Baden 213). Sie ist eine der Projektkoordinatoren des DAAD geförderten Projekts "Exploring Legal Cultures".
