Das junge Werk Ciprian Mure ans reicht von Zeichnungen und Animationsfilmen über Fotografie bis zu Skulptur und Video. Ausgehend von den Veränderungen in den postkommunistischen Staaten nach 1989, thematisiert er in seinen Arbeiten Fragen kultureller Identität und Prozesse der Vergemeinschaftung. Dabei greift er auf die Kunstgeschichte zurück und gelangt so zu eigenwilligen Interpretationen der Gegenwart. Seine Arbeiten werden in diesem ersten Werkkatalog systematisch erfasst und mit Rekursen auf postkommunistische Gesellschaftsforschung, Globalisierungstheorie und deren Überschneidungen mit ästhetischen Diskursen in Beziehung gesetzt.Ciprian Muresan's work ranges from drawings and animated films to photography, sculpture and video. Taking the changes in the post-communist states after 1989 as a starting point, his work deals with questions of cultural identity and processes of integration.

Tatiana Trouvé creates worlds where no language is needed. Cast in architecture, reflecting the artist s echo and existing, surrounded by parapraxes, secrets and hidden messages, in emptiness, structures full of doubt, expectation and fantasy are formed. That the artist should refer to the novel Il Grande Ritratto by Dino Buzzatti in this world without words she explains thus: The story is a literary exploration of a term that is particularly important to me: secrecy, the secret as a place of exile. ( ) In this fantastic story about secret things, the naming of things is not necessarily most important in terms of understanding them. As the characters in the story put it, every language is a trap within which thinking is caught and language is the worst enemy of mental clarity .
