Description
The book is divided into four parts: the first part examines structures of the concept of the "person", for instance in contrast to "personality". The second part is taking up the present discussion about "informal" (especially out of school) and "formal" learning. Furthermore the dangers and possibilities for personality in the school are analyzed in the fields of reform schools, problems of effort and achievement, teacher authority and hygiene. Finally the book includes criticism of the 3 phases of teacher training: the theory-practice-problem, the possibilities of standardization and the religious perspectives.
