The large-scale green development of Songdo, currently taking place in Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) in South Korea highlights sustainable urban development with various green features with the cutting edge technologies. The goal of Songdo is to develop an eco-city that also achieves economic development. However, the Korean green growth strategy is a top-down approach and the participation of citizens and workers in Songdo is limited. Besides, FDIs and de-regulation of legislations will be the key elements for the success of Songdo. The study will reveal green job creation in Songdo by giving author's own definition based on the fieldwork conducted in Incheon, Korea.
