Plants since time immemorial have been used in virtually all culture as a source of food, clothes and shelter. Besides, they provide timber, fuel, dyes, gum, resin medicine etc to us and had very significant role in human civilization. The people on plant based material are increasing day by day. Medicinal plants have always been dependence of tribal and rural the principle source of medicine in India since ancient past and presently they are becoming popular throughout the developed countries. Besides, they also play an important role in the lives of tribal and rural people, particularly in remote part of developing countries. The present book deals with the medicinal plants with special reference to their phytothearpy.
