In the era of uncertainty in social, political and economic philosophies, there is need to articulate solutions to myriad of problems facing humanity. Through the years, many have articulated different philosophies to address human quest for freedom and fulfillment. These philosophies include socialism, capitalism, and communism in all their various forms. After the collapse of communism, many argued that maybe capitalism and democracy have won the right over the soul of humanity. Today in the 21st century, we are beginning to see many difficulties with unfettered, unregulated capitalism. This has caused a resurgence of the questions that have plagued the study of ideologies and philosophies through the ages: where is the truth about human fulfillment? The book: Clergy New Dealers: A Perspective on Social Welfare Policy and Change seeks to articulate issues around discovering solutions to human quests for fulfillment and understanding thereof.
