One vital requisite for university teaching is research and publication. The author, draw on examples from research in humanities and education and current issues to provide researchers with basis for appreciating how research applies to today's concerns. The need for creating graduates that are well trained in all aspects of research, albeit at the fundamental level is an important tenet of university education. It is in this light that this book, Research Methods in Humanities and Education, is perceived. The book has been designed to provide the fundamental knowledge, skills and assist in the development of values for appreciating research not only as an academic activity, but also a necessary aspect of socio-economic and political life of the individual. This is because research has been acknowledged as a vital component of the development process.
