This book talks about the synthesis,characterization of a few novel lanthanide-phosphonate complexes (inorganic-organic hybrids), their magnetic and luminescent properties. Temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements were carried out on these materials at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Florida. Luminescence studies (solution and solid state) were carried out on all the materials.The book also gives an insight into the synthesis of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) derived organic polymers and their characterization

Gopal, MadanMaterials, their properties and behavior have fascinated me rightfrom my undergraduate years. I was fortunate to work on aceramics related project during my Master's thesis. The currentproject is my PhD dissertation work, involving synthesis,characterization and physical property determination of novelorganic-inorganic hybrid materials.
