Description
The social/solidarity-based economy is the result of a "combination" between the social and solidarity-based economies. As is often the case, the whole is more than the practical sum of its parts, and we can't simply present the social economy and the solidarity economy and deduce the SSE from them.Over and above the rhetoric surrounding the social/solidarity-based economy, it's important to realize that "it's not just a theory, it's also a practice". Indeed, the SSE is truly realized in concrete projects. It is therefore relevant for this article to move on now to the application of SSE through the notion of social entrepreneurship and the examples that flow from it. In this context, the work of the SSE will seek to respond to specific social needs while integrating economic dimensions that lie at the heart of interventions needed to alleviate human suffering.
