Description
Who doesn't know and love this elegant red-stockinged bird? In many countries the stork is considered a bearer of good luck. In this illustrated nonfiction book we get to know "Master Adebar" very well as we accompany him on his journey through the year: we see how he builds his nest on the roof of the barn in springtime and how he then raises the hatched chicks with his mate. Then we tag along with the young storks as they fly to Africa for the winter and accompany them a couple of months later on their dangerous return home. With expert, feather-light brushstrokes, Thomas Müller acquaints us with the lives of this large and beautiful bird. The narrative section is supplemented with additional valuable information about black storks, cranes and herons.
