This reference journal is published annually and announces most publications in cultural/social anthropology from the German language areas (Austria, Germany, Switzerland). Since many of these publications have been written in German and are usually not included in major Abstracting Services, Anthropological Abstracts offers a convenient source of information for anthropologists and social scientists who do not read German, to become aware of anthropological research by German-language anthropologists. Anthropological Abstracts includes monographs, journal articles, anthologies, etc. Most abstracts are authored by the editor, others are specified accordingly.
