Elections take place around the world. However, not every election is a democratic one. Krennerich, MichaelMichael Krennerich, born 1965, Dr. phil., is Professor of political science at the Chair of Human Rights and Human Rights Policy at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. For around 30 years he has been conducting research into elections around the world and regularly works for the Venice Commission of the European Council as an international electoral law expert. He is senior editor of "Zeitschrift für Menschenrechte. Journal for Human Rights".Michael Krennerich, geb. 1965, ist Professor für Politikwissenschaft am Lehrstuhl für Menschenrechte und Menschenrechtspolitik der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Er forscht seit rund 30 Jahren zu Wahlen weltweit und ist regelmäßig als internationaler Wahlrechtsexperte für die Venedig-Kommission des Europarats tätig. Zugleich ist er leitender Herausgeber der "Zeitschrift für Menschenrechte".
