Die in dieser Ausgabe zusammengestellten Duos wollen den Gitarristen die Möglichkeit geben, die Aufmerksamkeit auf die dialogische Wechselrede zu lenken, also darauf, das Zusammen-Spiel mit feinstem Ohr zu praktizieren. Das Duospiel ist einer der wertvollsten und wichtigsten Bausteine in der Ausbildung und Entwicklung zum Musiker. Die Sammlung enthält eine Reihe weniger bekannter klassischer und romantischer Stücke, die zu entdecken sich lohnt. Andererseits beinhaltet sie "Evergreens" wie Por una Cabeza des Tango-Königs Carlos Gardel - zu hören in nicht weniger als 15 Filmen, darunter Schindlers Liste (Itzhak Perlman geigte) und Scent of a Woman (Alpacino tanzte) - sowie einen von Scott Joplins unvergesslichen Ragtimes: The Strenuous Life. Der dialogisierende Charakter der Kompositionen legt es nahe, innerhalb einzelner Werke bei Wiederholung ad libitum einen Stimmentausch vorzunehmen.Schwierigkeitsgrad: 2

The duos compiled in this edition will give guitarists the opportunity to pay attention to the dialogue, i.e. to practice ensemble playing with a keen ear. Duet playing is one of the most valuable and most important parts of the education, training and development of a musician. This collection contains a number of less known classical and Romantic pieces which are worth discovering. On the other hand, it also contains 'evergreens' such as Por una Cabeza by the king of tango, Carlos Gardel - which can be heard in no less than 15 films, including Schindler's List (Itzhak Perlman played the violin) and Scent of a Woman (Al Pacino danced) - as well as one of Scott Joplin's unforgettable ragtimes: The Strenuous Life. The dialogue style of the compositions suggests that parts should be exchanged ad libitum within individual works in the case of repetition.Instrumentation:2 guitars

Konrad Ragossnig, geboren 1932 in Klagenfurt, studierte an der Wiener Musikhochschule. Umfangreiche Konzerttätigkeit als Gitarrist und Lautenist, u. a. mit Uraufführungen von Werken namhafter Gegenwartskomponisten. Herausgeben von Gitarren- und Lautenliteratur, Lehrtätigkeit in Wien und Basel.
