Description
Silberklang light offers two-part arrangements of folk songs, hymns, canons and popular music songs, especially for older voices. The range is comfortable. The two parts can be sung by women and/or men. The four seasonally divided choral scores appear in large print. The pieces for small singing groups are accompanied by piano and optional treble recorder. A chapter on voice training and warm-up completes the extensive repertoire.Besetzung:for two part choir and piano, alto recorder ad lib. Those who have sung in a choir for decades do not want to give it up even in old age - and some people only take up singing late in life! Singing in a choir is good for the voice, for breathing and the whole body, and builds a sense of community. The senior choir book Silberklang light is explicitly aimed at small choirs and singing groups with older singers (60+). In the course of a lifetime, the capacity of the voice changes. This results in different demands on the choral literature for seniors. In this book, all movements are therefore notated in two parts in a comfortable register, so that no extreme highs or lows have to be mastered. Both parts can be sung by men and/or women. Due to the repertoire's wide variety of styles, the pieces are appropriate for both sacred and secular use (folk songs, hymns, popular music songs, canons, seasonal songs). This choir director's volume contains the two-part arrangements with simple piano accompaniments and chord symbols, each with a short prelude. For some pieces, an optional treble recorder part is available for download. In addition to general information on senior choir rehearsals, specific vocal exercises prepare for difficult passages of individual songs and include aspects of voice training. Warm-up exercises for each season complete the warm-up repertoire.Four choral scores in large print, divided by season, complete the choir director's volume.Instrumentation:for two part choir and piano, alto recorder ad lib.
