Expressionism powerfully heralded the onset of the twenties. With Fragments of Metropolis--Rhein Ruhr, Rauhut and Lehmann present the results of the next phase of this major undertaking, showing that the Rhine-Ruhr region had a similarly rich expressionist heritage.
