Most ambitious film project to dateInsights into the artistic creative processBeyond the boundaries of the senses and language Most ambitious film project to dateInsights into the artistic creative processBeyond the boundaries of the senses and language In Extra Sensory, Chloe Wise explores how we perceive reality and what remains concealed beyond the limits of sense and language. The book is published to accompany the artist's solo show at KBH.G, which presents her most expansive film project to date: a multichannel video installation enveloping the viewer in a shifting, cinematic environment. Wise introduces figures that evoke angels, supernatural beings, or technological apparitions, yet present themselves as unstable constructs. The exhibition understands perception not as a neutral reception of reality, but as an active, mediating process shaped by language, history, and cultural expectations. The publication mirrors this atmosphere, reflecting on recent directions in Wise's practice and her interest in the outer edges of human knowledge. With contributions from a diverse group - ranging from critics Gideon Jacobs and Piper Marshall, to scholars like Diana Walsh-Pasulka and psychic mediums - the publication presents Wise's latest artistic production in a fresh, original way.Chloe Wise (b. 1990, Montréal) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, video, and installation. She received her BFA from Concordia University, Montreal, and currently lives and works in New York.
