Full Description
Kristina Buch has developed an internationally recognized, poetic body of work over almost two decades, spanning sculpture, installation, ephemeral "life gestures," wooden intarsia, woven works, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, video, and writing. Trained in biology and fine art, and having also studied theology, she graduated as Meisterschülerin under Rosemarie Trockel at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her practice unfolds in the in-betweenness where disciplines, species, and worldviews meet. From large-scale installations to intimate gestures and hybrids, her art reconfigures horizons of attention and imagination. This volume offers the first overview, with texts by Chus Martínez, Aimee Walleston, Ben Quash, a conversation with Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, and writings by the artist.
